Over the past months, this blog has fallen ill to being, dare I say it…freakin’ boring. I know from your posts (or lack there of) that you have become lazy. Look at your sink, your laundry basket and yourself. WTF! Passion? There is about as much passion here as at a mattress-tester’s convention, which I fear that you have become a member of that organization of nimrods who make a living testing out mattresses. Wake the heck up! I know that you can do it, just stop whining and get on the stick before it is too late. This is your life, little one. Passion? Try embracing life. Jump out of bed in the EARLY morning and look at the glass. It is half full, not half empty with a leak. You have been blessed with children and a husband who puts up with your madness. Clean the house. Do the laundry and the dishes. Then sit down and complain about your life. At least then you would have something to complain about. At this point in your life, you’re picking fights with windmills. Time to put on your big girl pants and get on with life.
“Get busy living, or get busy dying.” You and your family deserve better. And so do we.
First of all, or “first-off” as some say, you know me Vegas, If anything I am honest. I check out your site from time to time and I find it as exciting and stimulating as some random facebook page. I know that you’re smart. But I also know that you can be lazy. I know that you don’t work outside the house, so you should have time to find some interesting topics and work the blog. My first wife and I raised 4 kids who were only 5 years apart, thanks to my “Irish twins” middle girls. Our home was clean, the floors were sweep and washed every day, we vacuumed each day, You could eat off the floor. OK, she was a nut, who couldn’t relax if she wanted to. But there is no excuse to let dished pile up in the sink, or clothes not getting washed and folded. In reading some of your posts, I know that you let work “pile up” due to depression. Get off it. If you don’t know how to motivate yourself by now, you never will. I say this with love.

Sorry that you are not very good at reading people, but believe me, I know you very well, as much as one can know someone by their posts. You have laid out your life here and on the old “DJ” site as well. When the “DJ” site went down, I thought that I would check out this one to see what you were up to. In the months that followed, I found little to comment on, as you have not posted many topics worth discussing. But that’s fine.
No, your worth is not based on the cleanliness of the home, but with children, one needs to try to give them a clean house while giving them a sense of self-worth. Again, I have 4, 2 with my second wife and now raising my grandson. I lost one along the way, sat in doctors offices while being told that my 2nd born would not live past 21 years. Yes, what I have learned about PTSD, depression or generalized anxiety disorder I learned from you on this blog. Good for you for getting better.
As to the name calling. Do you think that I am a chauvinist, do you really believe that I have a “Prejudiced belief in the superiority of one’s own gender, group, …” Nothing could be further from the truth. That’s the thing with name calling. It’s so easy to lump people into molds rather then accept them for who they are. You are right about one thing. You really don’t know me. As to Carissa, “his words prove he’s a chauvinist” you haven’t got a clue. Although I am a dick, and damn proud of it!

Sorry, Vegas, but I agree with Mario. You post all this whinny stuff here, how you have a sink full of dishes, and all. I drop in from time to time and there is nothing going on. This is nothing more than a Facebook page for you and your friends to complain on.
